Park Hotel, Tynemouth

We were asked in autumn 2009 to review and masterplan a phased refurbishment of The Park Hotel, Tynemouth. The original building dates from the 1930’s and had been substantially extended over the following forty years.

The brief was to enlarge the function room capability and upgrade internal and external décor.

The internal phase comprised an extension to the function suite and upgrading of the building facades and entrance.

Internal improvements and redecoration followed, and currently a scheme for a new café to the hotel seafront elevation awaits planning approval.
